The Winner of BIG BROTHER iTV Thailand !
"Tik" and Orathai ("Oh") have won the Fantastic Four competition in
Bangkok. Also, the Big Brother TV show arrived in Thailand, and Tik won first prize on May 21, 2006. Congratulations to
Tik!!!
The Big Brother show is a bit weird, but it has now been peddled throughout the world. The basic concept as I understand it, is this:
A bunch of youngsters get to live together
in a house full of TV
cameras. The public watches them sleep, cry, waste time, have sex, cook, and shower. Occasionally elections are held were the least-popular members "lose" and are sent off in ignominy.
Those who remain, who have succeeded at their mission of outlasting the others by feigning friendship with them, become youth idols. Everybody wants to be like them: popular, surrounded by fake friends, and stepping on the "social losers" on their way up. --
Needless to say, this show fosters a special kind of mentality that leaves a lot to be desired. But anyway, here is the winner, my friend "Tik" (pronounced like Dick) of Bangkok.
